Gammelgarden Swedish Museum Visit

From 2019, a short and sweet drive to Scandia and the heritage museum there. Meet at the small parking lot just north of the Clark gas station on Hwy 61 in White Bear Lake, south of the Don Julia restaurant.

Directions:

1. Head out north on 61
2. Turn right (east) on 96
3. Turn left (north) on Cty Rd 9
4. Turn right at the stop sign to Keystone. This road turns into Kimbro, then 117th, then Lansing, then 110th St.
5. Turn left on Manning Ave.
6. Turn right on Square Lake Trail (Hwy 7)
7. Turn left on Norell Ave N.
8. Turn Right on Cty Rd 4
9. Turn left on Olinda Ave N.
10. Turn left on 185th St, which turns into 188th then into Newgate Ave.
11. Right on 195th St.
12. Left on Olinda Ave N.
13. Left into the Gammelgarden Museum for a visit or just a break stop.
14. Leaving the museum, go left on Olinda
15. Left on Cty Rd 52 – you may want to regroup after crossing Scandia Road (Hwy 97)
16. Right on Meadowbrook Ave N.
17. Left on Melanie Trail N.
18. Left on 238th
19. Right on Lofton Ave N. (CR 1)
20. Right on Cty Rd 23 (Green Lake Tr)
21. Continue on Cty Rd 24 into Chicago City
22. Criss over Hwy 8 and take the 1st left on the service road to The Northern Tavern & Grill for lunch.

Afternoon options include heading west on Hwy 8 to the Winehaven Winery , or Hwy 8 to Pioneer to the Sunrise River Farm apple orchard.
