May 9, 2013 Meeting
President Larry Berg called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
We welcomed new member Paul Martel from Hudson, Wis. He is the proud owner of a 1970 GT6+ that he acquired about a month ago.
Larry started the meeting with a reminder to mind your oil filter - it's easy to get the wrong one or one without a bypass valve.
Newsletter chairman Orrin McGill mentioned that he gets a lot of e-mails so if you submitted something to have in the newsletter and it never got in, feel free to re-send it.
Membership chairman Joe DeMuth reported that we have 71 family unit members, which translates to about 115 people. He also sent out the club roster via e-mail recently and said any changes to the roster should be directed to him.
Linda Nelson offered to put together a membership board for our meetings in which we can list people and their cars, with little nametags for people to carry.
Carla Herling donated a gift box with a bottle of scotch for the next winter party (didn't we just get out of last winter??).
VTR liaison Larry Sanderson recommended that the new members should consider joining the VTR and consider traveling to the upcoming national convention.
Treasurer Rick Hansen said we have about $3,000 in the checking account and the IRS has accepted our tax-exempt status. He also said any extra donations are tax exempt.
There was quite a bit of discussion about the upcoming InterMarque Spring Kick-Off in Osseo, Minn. We decided to meet at the Perkins Osseo at about 8:30. We also decided that the feature cars will be the TR3 that's being rebuilt by 15 club members and Phil and Sue's Stag.
John Myers made a plug for the upcoming show in Iola, Wis, which happens from July 11 through the 14th.
Phil Ethier also made a plug for the upcoming autocross event on June 22 and 23. More information is online at www.mnautox.com.
Larry adjourned the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
